New Clie T665C with OS5

Hiya,

At this time, is it worth getting a new T665C versus waiting for an OS5 version of a similarly sized device? The NX60/70 are just to big for my everyday use, as nice as they are.

- Will it really make that much of a difference to even have an OS5 device?

I really do need a new Palm PDA and I'd prefer not having to wait 6 months for this to happen, but if it's worth it I would.

It depends on your needs and how much money you want to spend. I bought a T665 a week ago and I love it. I haven't found anything that it can't do. If your have money to burn, then wait a couple months and buy a new os5 SJ series Clie. If not, pick up a fairly cheap T665.

While I just got a 665 as a gift (upgrading from T415) and love it, you may also want to look at the new SJ33. The longer battery life will be nice, as this is the one thing I find limiting on the 665. Or if you want the latest and greatest, look at the Palm Tungsten or wait and hope for a Tseries like OS5 device. I would imagine that would be priced around the same as the Tungsten.

I have a T665 and it does everything I need. The only reason I would replace it is if the new T-series had virtual graffiti and a built in voice recorder. Something to think about.

I just got the 665 a week ago and love it. I'm sure it will cont to fill my needs for at least a year. I did get the Bestbuy warr though so if something were to happen to it in the next 2 yrs it will be replaced by the newer model.

I too am waiting for a T-form factor with OS5 and VG. New models are coming out within the next couple months.

The wife is itching for a new one also, so if Sony doesn't come out with one, I'll probably look at the Garmin iQue 3600. It's got OS5 with VG and a built in GPS...it wouldn't be a Garmin without one.
