AppIcon, OS 4.1, and Overlays

Hi everyone,

I've spent a good deal of time searching around the forums and the Net at large for a solution to this problem, and haven't found much of anything. It seems similar people have had similar problems and I've seen no answers posted so I thought I'd bring up the issue fresh again.

I've got an SJ-33, but really would like all of the icons to look all jazzy. I've installed the VB3Hack and AppIcon as well as an icon set with some pretty highres icons. However, certain applications (Calc, CardInfo, Prefs, Security, etc.) won't let me change the icon with one that has an overlay. Is there a work around for this? Woudl a program other than AppIcon work better?

Some launchers can 'cover' the system icons . . . and they have specific icon sets to do it. Zlauncher is one, SilverScreen is another. Personally, I use/love ZLauncher.

ZLauncher is, without a doubt, the best. Some 3rd party apps do lock the icons so that even AppIcon can't change them. Kinoma player is one example.
