Bluetooth 1.2 supports compatibility for connectivity with wifi. I believe that would mean I could use it with my wifi router to go onto the internet? If it's gonna be in new models in the future, this may be really good. This may make WiFi + Bluetooth in the same palm not as needed as before, if it could connect to wifi networks. Of course the number one thing is range, the range is only about 30 feet (unless they decide to go to the higher class ranges). I guess the question is, how well does it have compatibility with wifi?

There's the story on it.

I think you may have misread the article. They are refering to the fact that Bluetooth and Wifi use the same 2.4Gig frequency spectrum. The updated standard for BT will ensure that they will not interfere with each other, not that they will talk to each other.

Right, BT and WiFi are incompatible. BT runs somewhere around 700kbps, where as WiFi runs 11mbps or higher.

Think of BT as Infrared or a wireless USB
