Hi,
I'm planning to change my N760C for NX70V or NX73.
Just a thought; does anyone know if a Sony Minidisc controller with display will work with those Clie, seems that it has the same number of pins.
Thnx beforehand :p

I think several of the MDs use 4 pins and the clie uses 2.

I don't think this may work

this will not work
i have been with minidisc for about 6 years so far and the 4 pins on the MD are different from the 2 pins on the CLIE
the 4 pins are split into two groups
2 for display 2 for controls.
to my knowledge pins are paired in 1and3 2and4 so i doubt it would work. even the other way around
no, it will NOT work.
even the way round, you try to use the 2-pin clie controller on MD, you can't fit it in.

Sorry, nice try though, but it looks like everyone has already thought about it :)
I could have AM/FM if it did on my Clie :(

You're all wrong on one thing, sure a minidisc controller will not work on clié, but it's not because the clie controller just have two pins, the clie controller have four pins, but you see only two pins on each side of the controller.

What a price drop....I remember going to look at Sonys MD player/rec about 5 years ago...they were over $400...and now these do so much more.

Yes, they used to be very expensive, now they are becoming popular.

The MD players are nice, economical, and energy efficient.

the n-series remote is actually 4-pin, 2 on each side, they are seperated. i have done a dissection on the remote. on the clie remote only 2 pins is used right now, obviously sony has been thinking of adding display to the remote.
so it may actually be possible for you to modify the MD remote control adapter to use it on the CLIE.

I love my MiniDisc player. Use it everyday at work. The sound quality of ATRAC3 is great! Plus the power usage of the minidisc player is superb!

Yea i love my MDs
I have the E900
and the N1
the e900 is an old model but it is one of the smallest
aside from the E10 which is ridicuously small if you ask me.

It may work, but you won't get the display on the LCD to work correctly. The other buttons will probably work fine.
