The documentation for the Clie NX70V states that it can play MPEG files. I have tried putting MPEG files everywhere I can think of on the Card (MQRoot\100MQV01\, and PALM\PROGRAMS\MoviePlayer\100MQV01).
It does NOT show up in the movie player when I select MPEG Format. I can't figure out how to send it to the card so it recognizes the thing!
Am I missing something?
Thanks,
X-Ray

You have to make some new directories, so the path would be
/MSSONY/MOML0001
I read that you have to also make the filename something like MOVXXXXX.MPG example: MOV12345.MPG, not sure if you really have to or not.

And doesn't it have to be mpeg1 format only?

Yep, MPG1 only.

yep, it's correct. I also read on another post somewhere so I tried this with an MPG1 file. & you have to rename it otherwise MoviePlayer will not see it, same goes for the other *.MQV movies. The image is very clear just as any "320x240 *.MQV" videos, but the size is huge!
considering that it's an MPEG1, you can simply run it through ImageConverter with no problems at all. you get the same Video quality at a much smaller size. By the way, thumbnails of the mpeg clips can't be created neither. :D

MPG1 native is useful for me because it solves some audio/video out-of-sync problems I had while converting. Only problem is that its a 117mb file :(
yeah, talk about file size! I tried a 20sec clip with 2MB! :(
but really interesting though, how you can hide the mpeg1 movies by switching back to the MoviePlayer list! :D
