OS 5 Programs for NR70V/U

I have had my NR70V/U for 6 months and now want to try OS5 programs on it. I have heard about putting them on my NR but I don't know which ones and where to get them. If anyone can tell me that would be great! Thanks in advance!:D

In general, OS4 machine can't run OS5 program.

OS 5 machine is running on ARM-based processor, and if the developer takes advantage of this faster processor (by using ARMlets in their applications), then the program can be runned many times faster then non-ARMlets applications (on OS4 machine).

If there is an OS5 program that can be runned on your OS4 machine, then it means that the program isn't using any ARMlets. But if you really think about it, then you should realize that the so-called OS5 program is only an OS4 program that can be runned under OS5's POSE.

Geez... I don't really understand what I just typed... Maybe someone can come out with a simplier answer?

Earlier this year when I did not want to put NX OS5 program on my NR, I read threads that people were putting NX OS5 programs on ther NR. Now that I want to do that, I am not seeing anybody doing that. If anybody has done that and knows where I can get those programs then PLEASE tell me where!!

They were experimenting with putting the OS5 versions of Address book, Memo Pad, Date Book, and ToDo, on their OS4.1 Clie's. With mixed results at best.

Would you suggest not to put them on my NR?

I had a NR before. The Datebook, Addressbook and Memopad worked great on OS4. The OS 5 versions allowed the use of the full 480*320 screen. One thing to note is that by using the OS5 datebook, you will no longer be able to attach photos to your address book entries. The reason is because you can't attach clie viewer on OS4, which is needed to install the photos on the OS5 datebook entries.

Hmmm.... i kind of forgot where i downloaded it from... it was a yahoo group made up of Nx users

I personally just use the NX memopad on mine but haven't removed the NR70 one from ROM - Just put it in an 'Unused' category on my launcher.

Didn't need the others as I use Agendus which is way better than the inbuilt Palm Datebook, Address Book etc.
