Palm OS 4.5 ?

After 100 advicment and answers, here is my first qustion:

I used jackflash/jacksprat to modify my NR70V rom with my prefered applications, and one enhencment was replacing the built-in apps. (address/date book, todo and memopad), with OS5 apps. (actually thay states for OS 4.5s) from NX70V, so now they are HiRes+.

Now, I played some more with the rom and totally screwed it up.
I can restore it from my backup, and continue using my unit just as before, but i rather to rebuild it again to fit my new needs.

My qustion is, does anybody know, when or if, OS4.5 (again, built in apps. in OS5 are 4.5) is going to lunch, 'cause I really don't like rebuild my OS and discover a month later that a the new OS is ready.

Lunch? Do you mean launch? What new OS are you talking about? I have never seen a version 4.5? There is no replacement OS's coming for older Clies.

I believe 4.5S is just the version of the built-in apps, not any OS. I have not heard of any plans for an OS4.5.

It is the same exept grafitti2 is added (yuck!)
Just for any new OS 4 PDA'S. It looks like sony is staying with graffitti 1 as long as possible, YES!! (NX-73/NX-80 use 5.0, instead of 5.2,5.2 has graffitti 2, 5.0 has graffitti 1)

Palm OS's and built-in applications are made by "palmsource", not by Sony. Sony enhance them to support other features of their PDA (like VG, jog, Hi-Res...)

Larry! Will any NX/NZ's Be able to upgrade to it!? We have a 200MhZ processor, which is fast enough... and the big thing is Multi Tasking, is it not? If i am wrong, please correct me... Also, does Palm do upgrades more than Sony (I mean like, A Tungsten C getting an Upgrade and Not an NX60) ???

Actually the specs on Sonystyle list it as having Grafitti 2.
It seems they gave us grafitti 2 fom 5.2 but not the memory update.
