Definitely check out the M3 Icon Set (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=47307). It's one of the best out there, and is updated regularly based on user suggestions. All updates are free for registered users. You also have got to get the registered version of Icon Manager (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=47054) if you haven't yet. It's the best thing going for organizing, creating, and managing large numbers of icons.

The best by far is by iconaclassic. high-resoluyion. Iconacalssic keeps updatign and iimproving their set. iconaclassic adds 100 icons it seems every month or 2 months, emails you them, and makes icons that are needed. They are responsive to emails like no other company
[Edited] to remove unnecessary namecalling . . . *sigh*

'Questionable Support, what comes in the set isn't changed much'
[EDITED] to remove unecessary namecalling . . .
competition is appreciated but not the way you practice it.

Isn't "unregistered" posting so much fun? :)

any changes since june? Which icon sets have made recent changes?
I would agree with the_iceman and suggest the FMIcon set. If you are boycotting PalmGrrr, let me know and I will send you the icons (or just make them available for download if enough people request it).
The author of the icon library, Simon Jamie, was gracious enough to email me the icons when I told him of my PalmGrrr boycott and he even added several new icons upon my suggestion and emailed me the new library. So if you have any ideas for additional icons, I'm sure he'll be happy to oblige.
(The author uses PalmGrrr because he would have to pay for bandwidth if he hosted the free icon library on his site).

I just had a look at the FM Hires icons and must agree - the best I've seen so far! And free. Seriously, do you really need 800+ icons for your datebook?

Yea.. Icons seem like such a waste of time. They certainly are a PITA to use what with leaving crap in the notes and they don't show up on whatever desktop program you use etc. I will say though that once in a great while I will use one or two just for fun. Well, there... I've vented! I can now go on with my life. Thank you for your time! :)
BTW - FM Hires Icons seem pretty good, and don't they come with Datebk as well as some other samples?

I use icons religiously, but only a handful--maybe a dozen or so. In Datebk5, I can filter by them in list view and custom views. I can set them to categories. In graphic icon week view and others, icons provide insight into the events of a given day without the text. I find icons very valuable in DB5.

The bundling of FM Hires Icons with DateBk5 is recent (perhaps a couple of months ago or so). I had suggested to Simon to ask the DateBk5 developer whether he was willing to permit the bundling; Simon emailed him and the icons were accepted.
