New E3 HALO 2 trailer conversion problems

As you can read in the subject, I'm having problems with converting the new HALO 2 trailer from E3 (not the shaky-cam version but the real thing!) and i've downloaded the hires WMV format and the hires MOV format. As Kinoma (yes I have a NR) can't read WMV files, I first tried converting the MOV, but when it's near the end, it crashes! So I have to convert the WMV to a suitable (MPEG or AVI) kinoma format before I can convert it for my marblelous Clié. Are there programs on the net that allow me to do that?

Does your high rez MOV play all the way through?

I've downloaded it from 3 sites so far and all the files are corrupt. They all crash in exactly the same place, so I'm sure it's a bad distribution and not a download problem (the low rez and WMV versions work fine). If Quicktime crashes while playing, then Kinoma will crash while converting. I've got 4 more downloads running right now, so hopefully I can find a good copy.

If your high-rez Quicktime plays fine, then where did you DL it from?

I'm currently converting the low rez QT version.

Edit: It looks like the High-Rez Quicktime distribution is corrupt. Every copy I have tried crashes at 6:23-20 (frames between 6:23-20 and 6:24-02 are bad). The WMV and Low-Rez play fine.

But doesn't everybody know how to convert a WMV format into a Kinoma convertable format?

I've got it converted now too. There's a Quicktime conversion of the HiRes WMV format. That one is pretty good conversion material! Here's the link for people who are interested QT5 HiRes format - 109 MB (http://www2.mythica.org/halo/hbo/halo2_e3_rtdemo_hires_s3.mov)
Kinoma (or Image converter too I think) shouldn't have any problems with this one!

I actually just converted it as well. It'll be going up on my site within the next day or so, as soon as I free up some space for it!
