View Full Version : Problem with movie on NX70V
Hello,
When i capture a movie with my Nx70V, the file is an MQV or MAI file. What is the difference ?
How I can read such movie files on a Windows PC ?
Thanks.

You need to download Quicktime 6. The latest edition of Quicktime player will handle these movies. You have a couple of options. You can rename the file on your hard drive to have either a .MOV or .MPG extension, or you can double click it with the existing filename and choose to open with Quicktime, and then select "always open with this application."
Voila! You're off and running with your Clie movies on your PC.

Use the .MQV file and rename the extension to .MOV on your PC. Then you can use Quicktime to play the movie on your PC.

You can also create a file association so that renaming the extenstion wouldn't be necessary.
The MAI file is an associated data file that creates a thumbnail and name for the Clie. It does NOT change the file name though. You only need to transfer the MQV file to the desktop and use QuickTime 6.x as the others have suggested.
