Hi,
I dont yet have a cf card and the driver, so i have one question :
How do u transfer files to the cf cards? can u use ms import or what. off course i can buy a reader but i dont want to do that - i also didnt buy a MS reader... i just use the nx to do file transfer...
You can also use HotSync, but I think it works only with prcs and pdbs, so you need a reader to get mp3 or movies to the card.
MsImport doesn't work yet... sorry

hotsyncing to card takes ages...
I started syncing a 60MB movie file two years ago and its still syncing... Hopefully it will finish while i still live - i estimate 60 years will be ok...

MS Import is not compatible with the CF Card (Yet...Get to work Eruware :D )
HotSync is capable of transmitting all types of files to the card, but it is slower than dirt.
Another option is to hotsync to the Memory Stick, the move from Memory stick to CF card using ClieFiles. But again this option is slower than dirt.
A small investment in a card reader is probably the option that would save the most time. (I should probably invest myself )
Just my thoughts.....

There was also some concern over legal issues from what I understand to make MS Import on the CF operational. Sony made it very tough to do anything, and did their best to cripple the CF slot.

If you're going to go the CF route for storage, you may as well go ahead with a CF read/write device. You can usually pick one up for around $20US and it really helps for loading/unloading media to the MS/CF and backing up data and transferring between media, etc. etc. etc. ...worth the bucks to avoid all the frustrating workarounds.

I got myself a CF reader for less than $20... and ít really is the best way to get files on the CF card. Copying from MS is way too slow.

If you are planning on getting a reader (which I suggest), make it one of the multi card ones as it should be able to handle not only the CF, but the MS as well

I got a CF<->PCMCIA adaptor at Radio Shrek for $14. It was on sale from $20. Plus, if you have a WL100, you can use it in your laptop as well.
