I see alot about MS pro here. As a new NX user, is it really worth the bucks to buy one as opposed to the "purple one"? Will I be able to use my current USB reader with it? My reader is eFILM. My desktop is USB 1 and my Toshiba laptop is USB 2. My 128MB purple is no where near filled, but with a Pro 256 I could load up with pictures and MP3's?? BUT...... is the data load on my NX REALLY faster?? Who can give me the "skinny"?
Cheers,
Steve H:confused:

You will not be able to use your current reader with it.
I am not a NX user so I cannot comment on the speed.

The fact is, if you ever do want more than 128Mb on one stick without having to remove it, and flip a switch, you have only one option. Go Pro.

I don't think it's worth it. I bought on 512MB MS Pro and it was so expensive. I think CF card is a better option.

I really didn't see any great speed increase. The MS Pro does give convenience with it's larger capacities. Using several purple sticks would give the most efficient use of memory and cost, plus the use of your reader. The MS Pro probably won't work in the reader unless it sepecifically says so. If you use a case or plan to use a case, some have slots for holding extra memory sticks.

Having multiple stick is less condusive, but it's better than spending money. I use a 128x2 stick and find it it fine for my application. Music and apps on one side and the other reserve from my recordings:)

I do notice a slight increase in speed (Programs load up a little faster)... but the main reason I got a MSPro is so I don't have to worry about space or changing sticks out. It's worth it to me.

Basically the same here. The memory stick dual 128MB unit is still about 20 bucks cheaper than a 256MB MS Pro.

I just got the 1 gig! I know, I can buy another Clie with it but I remembered buying 2 32MB linear flash card for my Newton in 1986 for USD350 each and I console myself. Pitiful really :-(
But I think Larry know's it's a disease I have. Just need to get the largest. My 512MB was full already...sigh...
