Just got a note from pocketirkeyboard.com that their new keyboard is TG50 and NX60 compatible. Thought I'd pass it on.

Hmm, that looks suspiciously like the Pocketop keyboard. I went to the parent company's site, enrtech.com, and downloaded the driver for this keyboard. There was a Word document included in the Zip file. It reads:

Pocket IR Keyboard Driver Guide:

Pocket PC 2002
NEC MobilePro P300
Casio E200
Toshiba e330, e335
Please use Jornada 560/ViewSonic V35 Driver

Palm OS 5.0
Currently No Driver Support

I know nothing more--I just got the email from them that they now have the support. You might email info@pocketirkeyboard.com or something like that.

The Pocketop and the IR don't look like the same models. One uses the CR2032 battery while the Pocketop that I had uses a AAA battery. The IR method sure was handy when I had my trusty NR model with the norotate hack, but taht was then....

I stand corrected. I contacted them by email, and they have assured me that their new product, model IRKB5, is indeed OS5 compatible!

I was confusing this new ir keyboard with an older product that was on the enrtech.com website, which is not compatible with OS5.

IRKB5 is a brand new product, which they "only started shipping yesterday."

Now I am wondering why Pocketop can't come up with a driver for their ir keyboard. If enrtech can produce an OS5 keyboard, why can't Pocketop?

Also I am wondering whether the IRKB5 OS5 driver MIGHT work with the Pocketop. They both use IR, so... perhaps?

The IRKB5 works with all Palm OS versions. It has a unique PDA support design with slides right into the keyboard. The key strokes feel and sound like laptop keys. Very cool. The product has not yet been added to enrtech.com website.
