Sorry if this is another stupid question, but I just got my first one, put it in, stored some MP3s on it, disconnected and then went to AudioPlayer, only to find that every file was corrupted. Now the PDA doesn't even recognize the memory stick when I put it in. How do I fix this?
I didn't disconnect or take the PDA off the cradle until all the files were transmitted, I even looked at them on the Export list for the stick.

How did you transfer the MP3 files to the stick? What folder did you store them in on the stick?
The files should be copied or transfered to /PALM/PROGRAMS/MSAUDIO on the Memory Stick. The transfer actually continues after the computer says it is completed. I watch the light on the Clie to tell when the computer has stopped writing to the stick.
If the files are corrupted, you may need to transfer them again or reformat the stick (I am assuming that you formatted the MS before using it).
Hope this helps. I have been using the Audio Player by transfering MP3s directly to the stick and it has worked.

I use MS Import to copy alot of mp3 files to the stick. Everything works fine for me.
I did have a problem with the MS once when it couldn't be read properly and locked my device up. Had to do a reformat to get it working again.
Follow Dave's advice.

I'll try transferring them again, if that doesn't work I'll reformat. And I'll keep a closer eye on that light this time. ;)
