Anyone here know about OEM pertaining to CF cards. Normally it's "Original Equipment." I can't figure the relation to CF cards.

i think in this case, it means that the cf cards are not retailed package.

probably just the card and nothing else.

I just spent $85 for one 512mb cf at dell last week.

Totaly legit deal but these are the old 1st gen CF cards meaning they are SSSSLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW. Should work fine for MP3 but I doubt movies will work. I believe these are 1X in speed but the seller does not know for sure.

you guys are up on these techno stuff so..

what is considered 'fast' for a CF card? ashVID said these were 1X, what is the current speed? and when she said its slow, how slow is that? how does it take to fill up a 512mb with mp3?

also, while i'm at it.. what does 'masqurade' mode mean? i imagine you're 'hiding' something.. so does that mean that if i use the CF card, i won't be able to do anything with the clie? or does it mean that the MS won't work while the CF is being used, but that non-MS apps will still work??

when talking about speed, how fast is the Sandisk 128 Memory stick in comparison? I run videos off of that and there's no lag time, just curious, cause i want to buy one of those CF's too, but if it can't play videos, i'd rather not. THanks so much in advance! =)

There's a work around to that known as the "Trick mode", you can access both cards at the same time. (eg. play MP3 off CF card & launch games from the MS)
