I want to convert a 320x320 pic into a ZLauncher background using POSE. How the heck do you do it? I know it's been done, I saw it on ZZTechs website, BUT WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS! Sorry, my caps button was stuck, he he. Can anyone help me out?
Thanx,
Peter

are you talking about a .bmp... or .jpg... or what type of image are you having problems with ZLauncher recognizing?

I just load the file onto my Memory Stick and then navigate to it using Launcher. Next, I tap and hold until the popup menu pops up. Fro there, just select "Backimage" and it will take it from there.
You can really use any size image, just be aware that if the image is "small" it will get "tiled" and if the image is too large, it will get cropped.

I wrote this as an answer to an email I got a while back, so...cut and paste. Hope its useful. I used the Clie simulator instead of Pose.
***********
http://www.us.sonypdadev.com/develop_tool/simulator.html
(You don't want to use the Palm version of the simultor at palm.com)
Unzip the file into a handy folder.
Run the simulator --> "PalmSim.exe"
It will then look for a rom. The rom is in the "enUS" folder.
Once it's started, click on the "Memory stick" in/out button to create the virtual memory stick folder on your hard dirve. It's name will be "MS" and will have the standard sub folders.
Load ZLauncher into the simulator. --> Right click on the simulator screen and pick "Install, and then Database"
You will also need to install a theme so that ZLauncher will run --> Use "ZLT_AquawoodXP_Sony_64K.prc", that comes with ZL.
You may need to do a soft reset before it shows up --> right click, reset, soft
You might want to save everything at this point --> right click, Storage, save
Now copy your background image to the virtual memory stick on your hard drive. You can just put it in the Palm folder under the MS folder.
In ZLauncher, goto the "SD" tab and navigate to where you put your image. Click and hold on the icon for your image, and when the menu pops up, pick backimage. The image should show up as a back ground image in ZLauncher.
Now using the ThemeManger in ZL, go to the back image tab, and select "No Back image". Exit from the Theme Manager.
Now go back into the Theme Manager, select your picture, and when the menu pops up, pick "Move"
Now your image will be in a new folder called on the virtual memory stick. ".....Clie_PalmSim\MS\PALM\Programs\ZLauncher\BackImage"
It will now be in the pdb format that you want.
