Hi Everyone,

I have a question re: opinions re: the flip screen on the NX70v. I like to use my NX70v in tablet mode (I don't like the keyboard much). I keep my NX70v in a Vaja case made for the NX70v.

Ideally, I would simply keep the Clie in tablet mode, and never move it back, but I'm afraid that the screen will get damaged this way (when it's in keyboard mode, as you know, the screen gets protected). Is the Vaja case good enough protection so I can keep it in tablet mode? Alternatively, I'd be constantly flipping the screen over every time I opened up the case - and I don't know how good an idea it is to move it so often....

Any opinions about this?

Jeremy

I would imagine that there is some wear and tear in the wiring harness. I use a side open case, so I can leave my Clie in the tablet mode and it's fairly well paded. I got the case from Brando and it was called PDAIR.

All of those 'less fortunate' PDA users who don't have a flip screen don't seem to have a problem, so I leave mine in tablet mode 24/7 (I do use an Innopocket aluminum case though).

I don't wanna get a case for my NX. I like to flip the screen to protect the screen. I do think it will loosen up over time-that's allot of flipping. I use an electric shaver travel bag I had around. It has a handle strap on one end and is roomy enough to fit a cable, headphones and my rio500, which I use to go running with.

It's faux leather and tacky, but hey, thats me to a T.

I carry my Clie in the front left pocket of my trousers ... I was worried about damaging the screen and used to keep flipping the screen back whenever I finished using it (I don't have a case for it yet). More recently however I've realized that if I don't keep anything else in that pocket and I make sure the screen is facing my leg (so if I run into anything on that side it'd hit the back of the Clie), there isn't really anything that could happen to that screen if I kept it in tablet mode ... I guess it's just a matter of being careful.

Of course, if I'm in a situation where I'm likely to get bumped around (shopping malls, bus during peak hour, etc.) or if I've got anything else in that pocket (the Clie audio remote for instance) then I keep the screen flipped in so it doesn't get bruised ...
