Has anybody tried to access the NZ90 with ISYNC 1.1 on the mac ? Even though it's not listed as a supported machine, I'm hoping that ti recognizes it. I don't want to have to use that $30 external program as it only does Itunes and Iphoto.

If anybody has tried it, please let me know the outcome.

I've been able to sync with ISYNC on the new powerbooks through bluetooth....I'm not sure what version it is though...

I have only tried it with missing sync installed. Not sure if it would work without. Back up your data and give it a whirl I say!! :-)

well, I haven't bought one yet, that's why I wanted to know 100% for sure that I can sync with calendar, email etc. Missing sync doesn't do much for me. Rob, can you give me more info please ?

Yes, you can sync your NZ-90 with your Mac and iSync.

However, you _will_ need Missing Sync to do so! You'll need it to sync at all, even with the standard Palm desktop.

Hint: open iSync, select your Sony, and check the "Force slow syncs" check box. I've had problems with iSync deciding to completely replace everything (addresses and appointments) on my Clié with data from the Mac and random intervals otherwise.

So can somebody tell me what it will all sync using "missing sync" ? I'm trying to do the following, let me know if I'm smoking:

- address-book
- itunes
- iphoto
- ical
- entourage X (even possible ?)

The Missing Sync itself doesn't sync anything.

For some reason, Clié that can play MP3s won't sync with Macs using the standard Palm desktop software-- nothing happens when you press the sync button on the cradle.

Missing Sync is a set of drivers that:

* Lets you sync with the Palm Desktop (and iSync)
* Enables iPhoto to import pictures directly from your Clié
* Save iTunes MP3s directly to your Clié
* Mount your memory stick directly on the Mac desktop

The minimal setup you need is:

-- Palm Desktop 4.0
-- Missing Sync

Without these two components, you can't do anything. With these two components, you can perform standard syncs with the Palm Desktop as well as the extra capabilities listed above.

iSync and the iSync Palm Conduit replace the Contacts and Calendar portions of the Palm Desktop-- your Clié will sync with the Mac OS X address book and iCal.

Cool. I ended up buying one, installed everything (including missing sync), but now have the problem that I can't import any of the photos that I make. Any clues ? (I tried photoshop, Iphoto etc.)

In iPhoto, click on the "Import" button at the bottom of the iPhoto screen. You should see the Clié listed as a camera and the import function should work.

If you don't see the Clié in iPhoto, make sure you're running the latest version of Missing Sync (3.0.6 the last time I checked).

An alternative is to use MS Import-- put your Clié in the cradle, click MS Import, and the memory stick should mount on your desktop like a drive. You can then import photos directly from the memory stick (use the Import function in iPhoto's [File] menu for this).
