All the icons on my CLIE look nice on OS5, except for that ugly Low-Res Mapopolis wireframe globe. How would I change that Mapopolis icon to a Hi-Res OS5 icon compatible with the NX60 and CLIE Launcher in 320x480? Thanks.

Create your own using Icon Manager. I'm by no means an artist, but I made a pretty decent looking Interstate sign with I-85 on it. Here . . . I'll beam it to you! :D

I do agree, it IS ugly, but I've found no way to 'make my own' icons in OS5. You CAN use AppIcon to make an overlay from an icon set, but the 'edit' feature to change the icons does not work.

Actually, I did mean AppIcon and I did use the "New" and "Edit" feature to create an Interstate sign. First you have to get rid of the new icon template by taping one of the alternate colors and changing it to white. Then chose the second tool from the left at the bottom, a beaker pouring, and then when you tap on each color object, all of that color will turn white. Once you have a completely white "canvas," you can choose your two colors and begin creating with the first tool (pencil). After a short trial and error period, you will get used to the invisible gridwork of the "canvas." Try it out! :)

wellsjs . . . the edit function does not work on an OS5 PDA. It worked flawlessly on my N760. What OS5 pda do you have that it works on? I'm sure a lot of people would love it if it did . . . we've all run into 'fatal errors' trying to edit icons. . . using OS5

Not using OS5 device but 4.1. I get the fatal error also when I attempt to edit a hi-res icon, but not when I create a "New" icon. If you get the fatal error when creating a new icon with an OS5 device, I guess that's the limitation of AppIcon. Sure wish someone would come up with a new AppIcon-like application for hi-res with full edit functionality. ;)
