I was wondering if anyone had the technical expertise to help with this. I need to initiate a hotsync from Windows.

Here's why:

Syncing on Mac OS X using Virtual PC. This is what I've found using the same hotsync/charger cable:

In Mac OS 9:

Everything works fine.

In Mac OS X:

1. The MSImport functionality works fine on both Clie T615c and NX70V.
2. The T615c can hotsync no problem.
3. The NX70V does not initiate hotsync.

This means that the USB connection is fine. But for some reason the signal to start a hotsync is not getting to Windows from the NX70V when using OS X. On the mac, I can start a Hotsync manually by double clicking on the Conduit Manager application. But the Conduit Manager on Windows (CondMgr.dll) is a dll and I can't just double click on it to start it.

So I'm guessing all I need is some third party hack that can initiate a hotsync on the Windows side. Once it is started, I think it would work fine.

Anyone understand the technical details enough to help with this? Or can anyone think of anything else to try. Booting into OS 9 to sync some conduits is a pain.

hey i second on that dudes question, i need to know how to do that cause when i'm on the road, and i don't have my cradle, i kinda put the hotsync program um well its just not there, and id rather hotsync in my pocket rather than setting it all up on something, you knwo wire goes out of the pocket into laptop, no one thinks anything, and i get to hotsync. convenient.
