Interesting, so, does that mean the next
version will be small again, but with all
of the same features?

I'm breathing a sigh of relief now. The NZ is merely a showcase piece that displays Sony's technological prowess and their vision for 'impossible dream gadgets', similar to a concept car. They also mentioned that they don't want to build bulky handhelds, and miniaturization is in Sony's DNA.

cool article, I think Sony is doing a wise thing, making their NZ available to those who want to buy it. Sony can't follow everyone else, they wouldn't be the company they are if they did. Sony has always broke new ground and pushed the envelope, I think the NZ is just another example of this.

Yea, it's not like Sony won't introduce another dozen or so models this year alone!:D

It's nice to hear some of the reasoning behind Sony's PDA strategy, and it's nice to know that there actually is a strategy. :)

I had an NR70V but I thought the camera sucked. The NX and NZ cameras are supposed to be pretty good. I think that's a fine upgrade!

Hey guys, Sony has the track record and put where their mounth is. I do believe Sony will deliver what their vision: miniaturization. Remember the 1st walkman in mid 70's ?? I will always have an open mind about improvement in technology and the NZ is a commerical "concept car" and when they deliver the punch product, it would be like when T665 first came out, this time with more features.

at least you can buy this concept car,
although my concepts go quite a bit
farther then the NZ.

care to elaborate? I am curious what the NZ doesn't have that you would want? -besides of course lower price and smaller size,

well, the word concept doesn't
necessarily mean producable.
I was working on a concept clie for
the clieworld competition, but
don't have the time to flesh out
the model, probably put it up sometime
in february, for fun.
