Anyone have the Sony game controller?

If anyone has got the game controller for the sj30 tell me what you think of it... Can you hotsync with it on, does it drain your batery quickly, ect..I am really thinking about getting one but I wanna know a few things about it first

I use the game controller for my t665 and it works great. No hot sync 'cause the controller is hooked up to the connector. I reallly didn't notice much battery discharge.

I'd get the controller, but I'm worried about support for it.. how many games are out there that can use the controller?

All my games have controller support! If the game supports any hardware buttons, then the game controller will work! Games like Tetris, Pacman and shooting games work well. I bought the controller 'cause the hardware buttons are too hard for me to manipulate. You also get drivers form Sony for Addon Keyboards!

Apparanty, there is a good special on the game controller from
a store located in the States, but the price seems too good to be true at $2.99.

Upon talking with the retailer, they insist that this is the genuine new controller for the clie's and it's made by Sony.

Is it because they overstocked and need to get rid of them, or could they be.... "gasp".. refurbished!

I think most people here know of the store I'm talking about.

Are these good controllers from this store? Are they original Sony brand? Has anyone here bought one? The Sony store sells the controller for 29.99 I think.

I bought mine from Best Buy about 2 months ago and paid $7 brand new... I started to get more that one because of the price but didn't... I wish I had... I have used mine with my SJ22, TG50, t615 and an NX70v. It worked great with all of them with every game I tried..... FYI

The Compuplus controllers are the real thing. It is true. I bought one from them for $2.99 and it works great.

I've bought 2 controllers from Comp-U-Plus. They are retail boxed controllers. They are NOT refurbished or anything like that. Actually if you're looking to get the TJ35 (be ready for backlight issues), they have the best price on it.

I got one for 3.99 when compu-plus had that as the price (about 2 months ago). It is great, and new (and I could play rescue raiders on the Apple II emulator again~!) but I have not been touching it recently. I do wish that you could setup the buttons differently for different games (and keep those settings!)

Sent out a money order on Dec 19th , and haven't recieved mine yet. Still, I live in Arizona, and sent it regular mail to New York during the holiday rush. Also they seemed concerend when I called them the other day. I trust them. :)

I bought 2 on Christmas Eve (Wed) and received them the following Monday. They provided me with UPS tracking information from their website within a day and if it wasn't for the holiday, I'm pretty sure I would have received it that Friday.

Luckily for me, however, is that their corporate office (where I believe they shipped it from according to the UPS info) is only about a 2 hr drive from where I live. Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow a local pickup, so I had to choose to have it delivered.

I sent out a money order to CompUplus on December 19th, I called last week and was given a UIPS tracking number. I called UPS and they told me CompUplus didn't send it out. I called CompUplus back, twice, the first time they denied it, the second time they told me was scheduled to arive on Friday the 9th between 9am and 7pm. I sat home all day friday and it NEVER CAME. I called UPS and they told me it's not due till Monday. I have to work on Monday, and in order to change the delivery address to my work address, I have to wait till AFTER their first "failed" attept on Monday.

Sorry to hear that, Wizzy. It's always never fun to have a company keep us "hostage" with something we bought, so that's why I always pay with a credit card every chance I get. When I used to pay via money order or check, there was always the chance of the other party not getting it and it happened on a number of occasions.

Don't worry too much. You know it's on the way, so at least the product was sent. Give it a few more days and you'll see the wait was all worth it :).
