The files can be found on the memory stick in the folder below.

IMA-ADPCM audio files recorded with Voice Recorder *.WAV
'use folder' /PALM/PROGRAMS/MSSOUND/

You can use MS Import to move them to your PC for storage. Playing them on the PC though, is a different matter. I have no clue what app to use. Someone else recently asked a similiar question on how to play them on the desktop PC.

I use a freeware program called IrfanView: http://www.irfanview.com/

It is actually a picture viewer, but also supports .wav files. Irfanview recognized it right away as a wav file - no conversion was required.

I do the same thing as Mikey... except use Windows Media instead of installing additional s/w and it works 2.

I've found that the new Windows Media Player 9 can't play the audio recorder wav files. The last version had no problem, but the codecs for the new version apparently aren't available. Apple Quicktime is able to play them, however (makes a lot of sense?!?)

Its funny how the new Palm Desktop 4.1 has a voice recorder feature to sync the files, but SONY removed it. Even though my version shows up as 4.1 it doesn't have that option. Odd.

Interesting, I can play audio recorder .wav files using the latest version of WMP9 on XP.

Something else then is apparently interfering, but I haven't installed anything lately other than the usual batch of XP critical updates and the WMP9 upgrade. The WAV files played just fine previously using the prior WMP version and also work fine on with the prior version on my WIN2000 laptop.

Guess I'll just route the files over to QuickTime for now, since I have an alternative.

Including those files recorded in LP mode?  I can play SP mode files in WMP9 but not LP.
