Clie Launcher

How to modify it ?
I love the default launcher, and I will not trade it in for ZLauncher, YiShow or whatever. :)
Still, I want to skin it with a picture somehow.. Are there any tutorials out there, or can anyone here give me some hints on how to start? :)
I see there are _some_ skins for the default launcher, but the nice ones are for the NR... (I have NZ90)

give the clie-launcher some time...... most get tired of it.... having to resort icons... moving them around is a pain.... jog-dials work with the 'total list' of icons.. not the groups....... I loved the clie-launcher for awhile.... then found it wasn't very ummmmmmm 'efficient'.

Anyway.... there are products out there which can manage the 'background' of the clie-launcher.

look through this forum... there have been many posts in regards to this.

Ok, I'll try using the ZLauncher.. This better be good :) Is it easily customizable?

you would not believe how customizable it is. Extremely. I believe ZLauncher should have like a 30 or 45 day trial... so plenty of time to give it a really good test-drive. :)

Actually it does. You just press the back button and then you can use the jog to change catagories then click the jog to go back to the list.

Zlauncher does have a 30 day trial :)

None are for the NR as it does not have the Clie Launcher. Any Clie Launcher skins marked NX only will actually work on any OS 5 model Clie including the 2 new NX's coming out and the TG50. If it is marked TG ONLY, then its just what it says, it will not work on any other version as there are bitmaps not in the file that would be needed.

Your welcome. Karim of Mythomania makes the best skins. He is quite the artist. His skins will also work on any OS 5 Clie.

I'm finally releasing the windows versions of my skinners (TG version tomorrow and NX/NZ version in a few days) and i am hoping that with as easy as i have made it to create a new skin that we will see a lot more of them posted. In the TG version you can edit as little as 1 bitmap and as little as 2 in the NX/NZ (of course you can do more) .

I think that Zlauncher is unbeatable. icon-sets are fantastic and you can easily make some backimages (adobe). look at the skin section, i made some backimages :)

with the new update 3.20 ZL is the best way to organize your clie.

Thanks for the information The SPies .... I stand corrected. To me... only but one reason.... but you are correct that you can hit the back button and then the jog-dial to get the 'groups' to change.

I tell ya... B4 I went to ZLauncher... I got so tired of the clie-launcher when I installed software and had to go and move it all around.... select a group then up-arrow to the location I wanted it in... etc etc ... I ended up using the standard PALM interface and not even use the Clie-Launcher.

Everyone has their favorites out there... Glad there is so much to offer so each can have what they feel they want and need.

Yah, trying to organize that way is a pain. The easiest way is just tap on the program in the program list and drag and drop it on the correct group in the catagory list. If the catagory that you want to drop it on is not showing you drag it up first till the catagories change then over.

ZL is a nice piece of work but i have just stuck with CL as 1)it does all i need in a launcher , and 2) i have spent way,way to many hours writing software for the darn thing to give up on it now :D
