In an attempt to free up the memory on my clie, I noticed that some pdb files are very huge. I tried to move the files to a memory stick (in MSFILE directory), however some application can't read them anymore. Could anyone suggest a better way to move the database files to a memory stick? Thanks in advace.

Some apps require them to be in certain named directories. Some apps don't support MS. You would need to be much more specific. If the app itself will move the files to the MS, that is the simplest way as it will create the properly named directory in the process.

I use PiDirectII (http://palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=86801220030125175849&prodID=29100) to put StreetFinder.prc and .pdb (about 20 MB maps) in MS. I think you can use MSMount and PowerRUN for the same purpose.

This website will tell you virtually everything you need know in regard to using extended memory on any PalmOS device.  launchplug.com (http://www.launchplug.com/)

When you get to the page I would suggest reading these articles in order.  I will first mention the title of the link found on the left hand menu.

Using External Mermory:  then go to "VFS Explained"
Misc. LaunchPlug:  then go to "Organizing Directories or Folders"
VFS Program Tutorials:  then go to links to applications you are using on your clie.
