and it reads that this Palm OS5 device has 32mb, so it must be possiable and if so what is Sonys problem.

My guess would be 2 fold:
Memory $ticks are nessary and
Simply no room...
look at the disassembled pictures (sorry dont have link) and you will see just how tight it is in there...

I remember seeing adverts for someone in Holland who could double the memory of Palm iiix's or m505's. You would send the unit back to him and he would do some soldering and so on to add extra memory.

Now, if only he could work the same magic on the NX70V! Oh well, something to dream about.....
