Deleting stuff of CF card

Hi guys... I finally went and bought my 1GB Lexar CF Card yesterday and tried to install stuff to it to no avail. Firstly, I tried to install a movie to it (encoded off a DVD using DVDx and then tried to hotsynch it) but it took forever so I hit cancel and did a soft reset on my Clie. Now i have only 25% space left on my CF but I can't delete the other stuff coz nothing shows up (even tried doing it in masquerade mode). What am I doing wrong??? how do I get stuff to delete off there that my Clie can't see??

Secondly, how do I transfer movie/audio clips anyway? I know how to download them and stuff, and have figured out how to put them on a MS (I have a Vaio so I just use the slot) but do I need to compress it before I transfer it or do I just do the "Add-Hotsynch-To Compact Flash 2" thing??

I know I'm asking stupid questions but you guys here are really helpful so I'd really appreciate some help!

Ok now I'm really flipping out... I put my CF into masquerade mode, went to Clie Files and found that a bit of my movie had actually been downloaded there. i tried to delete it and it all went fuzzy. I did a soft reset and now my Clie doesn't recognize my CF card at all!!! I hope I haven't gone and wasted a whole lot of money on a card that is corrupted already.
