I have a Sony DSC-P72 Cybershot Digital Camera. I like to view my photos from the memory stick on my NX 60, the picture quality is awesome, however it is ssssllllloooooowwwwww to come up in thumbnails and slow to load. If I choose a photo to view, I can't press a next arrow so I may go from photo to photo, I have to go back to the thumbnails again and get tortured as they all load slow again Is there any way to either speed up the process or a faster program that anyone may know of? I am surprised that it would be that slow with such a fast processor and small unit. Thanks for any help.

Acid Image and Splash are great. But Acid allows viewing from any file on the CLie (inlcuding CF cards) and has a zoom feature.

Hands-down, AcidImage for the following reasons:

1. Fast.
It caches the thumbnails, and only caches them when new images are found, so on successive runs, thumbnails display is instantly

2. Navigable file manager
It has a file manager integrated in that lets you view photos in ANY directory on your Memory Stick, not just the default directory. This lets you create folders to better organize your photos.

3. Zooming
When used with the NX70V, the Jog Dial is active, and AcidImage can be configured to select the Zoom feature by simply pressing the Jog dial. Then, scrolling the Jog dial lets you zoom in or out. The rendering is almost as fast as you can scroll.

You definatly won't be disappointed!

Download the demos and try them booth - thats what demos are for. I like AcidImage you might not but everyone here agrees EITHER is better than the built in Sony app.

I now use Acid image and I would definetly recommend it. I have tried spalsh photo it works very well however the fact that you can't view all types of jpgs is a big problem. On Acid image you view any file type you want.

Acidimage all the way.

Thanks for all the replies, I DLed both demos, and will put them to the test and will report my favored program.....I am already impressed that both will let me sift right through the pictures, I don't know what Sony was thijnking when they programmed Clieviewer the way they did. Thanks again!
