Will the camera on NX80 be same as NZ90?

I know that NX80 is 1.3 MP, and NZ90 is 2 MP


But my biggest gripe with NZ90 is the camerae startup takes 6 seconds, and uses too much battery even without flash.


Since I know both models are using CCD, I wonder if they are the same software and NX80 will be just as slow to startup, and how will battery life be?


That is a big question, if it is the same then I guess I may as well go for the NX73, because if NX80 is anyhting like NZ90 it will really stink

They all use a CCD. The delay and battery consumption is the result of the strobe light flash. The new NX80 I believe does not have a flash. I can take a million pictures with my NX because it does NOT use a flash. It takes quite a bit of battery current to charge the flash to a high voltage.

The NX80 has some kind of light, but not flash and details are sketchy at best :(

oh if this is the case and it startup time is 1-2 seconds, I am selling my NZ90 and getting NX80 no doubts about it

sorry n2ifp, but...
the NX (70) has an CMOS camera... no CCD element...
and the NX80 has an Flash (LED)... but no idea how strong it is...

the LED illumination is like a lower-power flash, that consumes less power than a traditional flash (prolly, faster start up + recharge time)
it's a common feature for cameraphones in japan
(i thought Sprint has a sanyo camera phone with similar LED illumination)


i'm more concerned whether the NX80 camera is autofocus or fixed focus
if it's fixed focus, i'll prefer getting a U30 and an ipod.....
