MS Back-up wrote to CF in Read-Only mode ???

I was doing my nightly Back-Up and realized that I successfully did a MS Backup to my compact flash card (No MS inserted) with the CF card in Read-Only mode as per directed by Eruware on 1.1

Shouldn't this not have worked in Read-Only mode?

Disregard. After going back and checking, I now see that the back-up didn't take. As I go back to MS Backup, it only shows an older Backup.

I usually back-up to both the MS & CF and then copy both MS & CF onto my PC back-up drive. Fearful from the data corruption incidents I've read of, I think I'll leave read-only on and continue to back-up to only MS... until new drivers are released on Wed.

... Unless Eruware says it's ok to take it out of read-only mode to facilitate MS Back-up. <Listening>

i think you are on the right track... sounds like the best path..
