I have posted this question before but had no answer, so I am giving it a shot again:
I have the Sony brand screen protector... I installed it and works fine... BUT HOW DO I GET IT OFF? I am afraid of damaging the screen.
Any help?

I don't use or recomend them! I ruined one screen one time, because dirt got in between the protector and screen. It clouds the screen and makes using the sylus more difficult.
Did you try using a piece of Scotch Tape?

Scotch tape is not tacky enough to bring up the sony screen protector. I tried it myself. Packaging tape doesn't work either but it does remove fingerprints off your screen :)
I've got a bit of extra time so I'll work on this problem a bit.

Short answer is a small plastic wire tie (also known as zip cords to tie computer cords together). The one I used was about 4 inches long. Hold the tie close to the tip, then put a bit of pressure against the edge of your screen protector.
DO NOT USE the tie with the metal wire in the middle, similar to what grocery produce comes with. This is a plastic tie that you feed the tail through the head and it makes a "zippp" noise.

Freecia: Thanks for the tip... I will give a try.
Why use the darn things at all - the screen will last the "lifetime" of the product, and trust me, after years of using multiple PDA's you don't ruin the screen by using the stylus, your finger - but you will by throwing rocks at it! Stay away from those expensive screen protectors and just enjoy the PDA for what it is.

yea the only reason I use them is because a pack of them came with my palm.... I really don't see the point of them though, kind of seems like a scam... Has anyone saved their screen because of a screen protector?

I agree tried several, none worked for me either. The are a pain to put on, but to take it off I used a stiff playing card. It worked very well and the edges won't/didn't scratch the screen.

Donīt buy the Fellowes one; hard to put and easy to scratch. I use the Brando one, it is a great product.
I use the screen protector because I did get the screen scratched in the graffiti area in all the Palms I owned (III, V, and N710).

oh great, a pack of fellowes is what came free..... how often do you replace them? mine is geting a little dirty it seems (has been 2 months since i put the original one on).... it came with a piece of plastic which resembles a playing card, it actually made it pretty easy to put on and smooth out...
I use a nushield and it works great, no distortion and no visible loss of contrast, plus they are removable, kind of hard to put on though, but once it went on once, putting it back on and taking it off is a breese.

I put a WriteRight on when I bought it, they're awfully stretchy and soft and felt a bit 'gooey' under my stylus. I ordered 2 Brando protectors and they are a much harder plastic and make the screen SLIGHTLY milky looking but do cut down on glare. I think I like the Brando, I like the slick feel of it and it really does feel more protected than the WrightRight. They ARE a pain to get on. You MUST make sure you put it on STRAIGHT, you can't be off because it is stiff and will buldge up if you try to put it on crooked. I found best results by putting on 1/2 of it first, to be sure it's square, use Scotch tape to tack off any dust as you go along and lay down the other half, then check the half you put down first and if needed use some packing tape to rip it up and tack off the dust from that side. This gave me good results. Once you have them on square and w/o dust you'll really like it.

i bought the fellowes and they work fine, have had no need to remove it yet. on my old n415 without a protector the stylus did wear marks into the screen after a couple of months, so i decided to use a protector.
did the tie clip work for the fellowes u were trying to move?
Another plus for the nushield is that since it does not use adhesive there are no bubbles at all. :D

I guess Brando is what Global source sells (and I have). I have absolutely NO complaints and I have not yet found a need to take it off.
I used scotch tape on my Vx and it worked for a while, but i eventually took it off cuz it seem liked it was getting harder for the system to recognize my Graffiti input. After removing it I quickly gouged the thing into near-unusableness (is that a word?).

I use ClearTouch from Boxwave.com. I had some trouble with the first one, but customer service was very responsive, and sent me a replacement. Easy on, easy off, washable, and much more durable that your typical screen protector. Personally, I find a screen protector indispensable. I scratched the heck out of my T415, and had already develop a hairline scratch on my NX70 before I put the protector on. And no, I didn't throw any rocks at it!
Tip: Use scotch tape to remove lint from the back of the screen if you need to re-apply.

I use NuShield for my Toshiba e740 which I took it back to bestbuy and get NX70V. And I'll use it again... Here's the web site... http://www.nushield.net/buy2.htm I'm loving my NX70v so far.

The squegee card that they sent is good, I used it to put the Brando on. But they are too soft and get scratched easily. I was changing them every 2.5 weeks.
