Every time I try to use MS Import to connect my NX-60 to my desktop, my palm locks up. I've downloaded all the updates from sonys website, and the only thing I notice that's different from what they say I should have is this:
According to the website, after installing the sysupdatepacknx_us.prc, I should have 3452MSLib versions 1.00 and 2.00. However, I only have version 2.00 installed.
Anyone have any other suggestions as to what's going on, cause I'm at a loss.

After you update, there will be 2 versions of 3452mslib as they say. Verion one in fash, version 2 in ram. Version 1 will not show on clie file manager, only version 2. You will have to verify the version 1 file with a diff file manager such as filez (with ROM box checked). It is doubtful this is the problem. I think these files are related to memory stick driver upgrade. I do not know, but would take an ignorant guess the problem is with the PC usb driver, not the NX. If you can offer specifics about the PC, go ahead.

Did MS Import ever work? Did it work before the update?

Yes, it did. The only weird part is that the driver won't install on XP, which it did before.

Under info in the pull down menu from the Sony default standard launcher I see only version 2.0 If I use Filez or ZLaunceher's file manager I can see both versions when I have it view all (RAM & ROM).
Driver install on XP?? What did you do there and if I had to bet, my bet would be on Win XP!

Ok, I just hard resetted again, and before I hotsync'd, I tried running msimport on the palm, and it connected. I hotsync'd and tried it again, BAM, doesn't work.

Ok, I deleted msscsilib from my palm, and it's working now. That was really annoying.

Hmm, the scsi driver library, I only show the one in ROM, did you try at one time to add the MS Pro driver on you NX?
In any case, I am glad to see your back in business. Sometimes it's enough to cause one to pull out their hair :)!

I agree. But I think in doing that I broke my syncing capability, because I could not sync with outlook afterward. I had to totally uninstall the palm software, and to be on the safe side, hard reset my palm again and started from scratch. Working perfectly now. I do find that solution interesting, though. I am using version 2 of the 3452MSLib file now, though. I'm just happy that I can copy mp3 files to my palm again.
