Could this be true that ML4 will be released at the beginning of February?
More importantly, how many are still patiently waiting and have not purchased another launcher?
Expectations for a bug free product will be pretty high, given the amount of time since the last Beta.

I personally don't care any more. I was one of the beta testers and I received three versions of the beta with limited functionality. Then suddenly there were no more betas released, and worse, absolutely NO communication from Megasoft as to what was happening.
I'm sticking with ZZtechs, where I KNOW that the feature set will be updated routinely, and the communication and responsiveness of the developers is amazing.
I can't imagine what Megasoft coud put into Megalauncher that would make me want to pay for another launcher.

Me :)
I've been on the fence, reading all of the commotion. I figure I'm no hurry and still happy with ML322. If a better one come out, great, I'll upgrade it then. There are plenty of other apps to play around with than getting crashes and frustation with launcher app betas.

Though I purchased ZL and am quite happy with it, as a registered ML user I will try ML 4.0 when it will be out once.
The product which fits my needs best will then stay on my Clié. But I consider one thing, even if ML 4.0 will make the race, it is not very likely, that ZZtechs will need more than one year (time til ML 5.0) to catch up.
I´m looking forward to ML 4.0.:)

Exactly the same here...
I´m patiently awaiting ML4, although I´m very disappointed with
the way Megasoft leaves Betatesters behind. I spend a lot of
time in testing the first Betas and generating the reports and suggestions I had to offer, and suddenly > zero communication.

I'll also give 4.0 a look, but I doubt I'll leave ZLauncher. After the FastCPU 3.0 vs. T665C fiasco and the one+ year ML update cycle, I've grown tired of MegaSoft2000. I used to be a big fan of theirs, but I've now decided that they are basically a game shop that's out of their element in system applications.
For me ML3.22 is still the best launcher. :)
I'm not in hurry to get ML4 as I do not need HiRes+ capability yet.

i too registered megalaucher a long time ago (when i had my N760C). i will definitely take a look at ML4 when it is released but am not too anxious. I have a hard time seeing an launcher being much better than ZLauncher currently is.

I'll take a look at it...just like I looked at LauncherX and ZLauncher...and probably decide that I don't really need it, so I'll delete it, just like the others too.
I am looking forward to its release though, anxious to see how it's different from the others.
I registered ML when I had a Handspring and transfered it to my HE330 when I bought it. ML never worked very well on the HE330.
The feature I liked best was the way ML let you view an app with all of its DB's, DB's with the same Creator ID, listed below it. I wish LauncherX would do the same.
I too look forward to seeing what the new ML will be like.

Ditto and the CD II skin rocks on ZL!
I am a registered user of the last ML version, but Megasoft has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'll echo most of the responses. I'll try it out but mainly to reaffirm my satifaction with ZL. ML4 would have to be impossibly superior to ZL to make me overlook Megasofts, less than stellar, support in the past.

I think it's interesting how down the group seems to be on MegaSoft. The company really hasn't done anything wrong; ML3 was far and away the best launcher when it was released. Unfortunately for MegaSoft, they suffer by comparison to ZZTechs.

I won't criticize the quality of their products. I was quite disapointed in how they handled the beta testing of ML4 and (in my own experiences) support has been lacking at best.

Let's face it, the launcher market it highly competitve. To sit still is to lose ground. MegaSoft sat on its ML 3.2.2 laurels for over a year. For most of that time, they were ahead of the pack IMO. However, with the advent of YiShow and then ZLauncher they lost ground rapidly. IMO, they were caught sleeping and taking their customers for granted. The FastCPU fiasco indicated kinks in their armor on the system software side. Now their inability to stem the launcher competition doesn't breed confidence in them either. A year in this business is an eternity, and I believe they slept through their opportunity.

I think you hit the nail on the head - "they suffer by comparison to ZZtechs".
People will always compare competitors, and ZZtechs has raised the bar on product features, quality of product, and product support. No other maker of launchers compares to ZZtechs at the present. So in comparison, Megasoft, in my opinion, doesn't measure up.
Others will have a different view, and that's cool. But a lot of us have seen the light, and it's ZZtechs!
