I am interested in finding out which applications others are using, and which are the most useful.

I am using:
Epocrates pro (not worth the money just for the ID program)
Hopkins ID program (great for free!)
5 minute Clinical Consult, 2003
ISilo docs: Hypertox 2002, Dept of Defense Bioterrorism document, Lytemister (great! - free!), dermatome and peripheral nerve charts.

PEPID (an emergency medicine program) still doesn't fork for OS5, but I'm waiting.

I am on the lookout for other useful programs: especially ones that work from the MS, and are FREE!

Kidometer
PICU tools
HanDBase
MedCalc
Shots2003
MetriCalc
Doser
Growth
PedsDrugs
5mpc

iSilo docs: they are all on the card... the best ones: PedBase, Vanderbilt NICU Manual, NICU Pearls, three DOD docs on NBC casualty management, Arrhythmia Palm brain, ECG Palm brain, Asthmameister, and others.

Irecently installed an emulator for the HP48GX, SX, and HP49... They are still in prerelease form.

epocrates for quick drug info (dosing, approximate price!)

lexidrugs for side effect/contraindications

medcalc - great calculator for frequently used medical formulas.

medmath - very similar to medcalc. somehow i get security from having both

medrules - free well referenced program to help predict outcomes (childs class, bishop score, pre-op cardiac risk, many others). will crash your palm without latest NBS runtime.

MentSTAT - refreshes my memory when i want to document a formal MMSE

abgpro

pregwheel - used to have pregpro. only big advantage was being able to keep list of OB patients. when i switched devices lost registration. free is good though...

shots2002

Nutri-rx - have had this one awhile, useful for looking up calorie/water content of enteral feeds. makes you pay after a LOT of uses; i just had to reload it after a couple years. all that time i assumed it was free.

stat growth - gives bmi and %bmi for age.

Sanford guide - i tried hopkins and qID. Sanford is the "gold standard" right? hopkins is free but just not there yet. qID used to be free... if i'm gonna pay gimme gold.

5MCC - 5 minute clinical consult. have the 2000 version and haven't felt compelled to update. it's good, fairly general. often gives many approaches to treatment without really saying what's preferred. nice interface, but again often too general to be useful. i have found the same to be true with trial versions of others in the 5M series

Harriet Lane - nice not to have to carry this around anymore; unfortunately still lacks many of the tables/graphs

Isilo docs: (MANY available at www.Meistermed.com)

Clinical Medicine Consult - by far my favorite all around reference. very comprehensive. wish navigation was a little easier, still it's great. covers ortho, urology, rheum, endocrine, ICU,ent and much more. weak on Derm (obvious reasons) and Peds. otherwise worth every penny. over 4.5mb; better have a memory card.

CodeMeister - though not sure how much i really trust it. frequently disagrees with more thorough sources.

LyteMeister

i have many other free Isilo docs i look at once in awhile...

Kidfixer, I am interested in downloading the hp48,49 emulator. I had been a long time user of HP handhelds for calcs. Please list where I can download the emulator. Thanx in advance.
