Anyone found a way to direct the camera button to launch a different application ?

I want to use it to launch fullscreen (www.swooze.com) but can't find a way to map the darn button.

Has anyone here tried out the (Swooze) ej's FullScreen Utilities as per link in the previous post?

Yes, I have it. Kind of cool. Mostly, all it does it make a full screen veiwer screen out of the camera. Other features are ok, but I don't use them much. Still, if you want more features to your camera, this is good software, very stable, and I say worth it.

Thanks for that, Medcat99. Good to hear it's stable, considering that the author has not finished it yet. I think I will give it a try.

I like FullScreen is great. Does more than Vivid (www.clievideo.com) at way less price. He (ej) admits it's not finsihed and that he has other priorities but he's good at keeping us up-to-date with where it's all going....
The UI could mayeb do with some smarting up (Vivid looks great, but has much less features)

Hm', what features are you talking about? Vivid has a control for fps-reords, Size-reduction, etc. ???

Vivid - lack of features....
not so much on the video side, but as a comprehensive image app.... I like the FullScreen camera and image viewer (especially the 2x viewer)
Vivid is *very* focussed just on video - where it does a great job, but FullScreen gives a bit more bang for the buck

I bought Fullscreen after trying it for a few minutes and really wanted to unlock the feature of capturing a video. Still waiting for a registration code from the author, can't try it out just yet.

Vivid looks very interesting, but it is more expensive.
The only thing I can't figure out about it is, when you capture the video and play it back its fine, but when you save it and play it back, it only plays at 9 fps max.

That's because the access speed on the MS is not fast enough to play video at the full speed. While the video is still in RAM you can view it at full speed. When you move the files off of the MS to your computer and convert them with the Vivid Converter application they will be at the full framerate again.

This is a limitation of the MS hardware, not the Vivid Video software.

Understood!

Another question though. Where do I get Vivid Converter?

duh, stupid me.

Nevermind OcellNuri. It would surely help to look in the extracted dir.

Thanks for your prior explanation on the fps.

It comes with Vivid. Should be in the zip file you downloaded.

I wonder, would this software work with a MS camera...

there are some comments on teh FullScreen (www.swooze.com) site about working with the memory stick camera.... don't know if EJ has one to test with <g>
Updates have been sparse there, but he did put up a message about his full time work taking him away from updates for a while, but he has been trying to get codes out asap....

I'm just thinking about it, I dont' have the camera memory stick, but if you did have that, how would u save video/pictures to memory sticK? As far as I know, fullscreen only saves pictures as jpg.
