can nx80 adopt CF wireless card other than sony's?

YES, they have a list of working CF cards. SanDisk was one of the brands on their list, other brands mainly are from the Japanese market so...

Probably none, the only two I've seen listed are WL100 and WL110, which are sony branded.

The NX can probably _use_ other brands...the CF slot is a standard slot...but someone has to write drivers for the other cards.

How is anyone able to truly give an answer on a product, other than Sony, that no one has seen or used yet? With that being said, I have to agree with the others, that Sony will be Sony and you will need to buy Sony's card at the Higher $$.

I heard that the nx80 will only let you store files, you can't use them from the sony apps...

With my own understanding of Japanese. I've gone through the Japanese NX80 Link myself.

There're many limitations set on the CF, you can only use a limited built-in Applications to access the DATA.

- CLie Launcher (OK) /PALM/Launcher/
- PicselViewer (OK) to access docs stored in CF
- Netfont (OK) to access homepages stored in CF
- Clie Mail (OK) mail data stored in CF
- Flash Player (OK) *.swf files in CF

But all other applications dealing with Multi-Media functions is NOT compatible. Only works off the MS
- Movie Player/Recorder ver.1.2 (NO)
- CLIE Viewer ver.1.1 (NO)
- Audio Player ver.3.0 (NO)
- CLIE Camera ver.2.1 (NO)
- Voice Recorder ver.1.1 (No)
- CLIE Memo ver.1.2 (NO)
- PhotoStand ver.1.4 (NO)
- CLIE Album ver.1.1 (NO)
- Photo Editor ver.1.0 (NO)
- MS Backup (NO), only on the MS PRO

As you can see, all photos related softwares doesn't work with the CF nor can it read/write to the CF. period
