I've been ripping some dvds using dvdx and then converting the mpegs using image converter. Instead of "adding to memory stick" I save them to a directory on my hard drive. I expect to later archive the newly created mqv's onto a cd rom.
My problem is lately I can't get the *.mqv's to be recognized by my NX-70v when they have been copied to the ms.
Any tips?

You have to make sure to name them the same way the clie does e.g MOV00001.MQV and ensure that they are within the same spec as the clie movies (frame rate, resolution etc)
surely you have them in the correct directory inside the MS right?
/MQ_ROOT/100MQV01 is where you should be placing all the MQV files.
Actually this is quite interesting, since I was thinking about archiving my MQVs myself to a CD. would appreciate it if you can tell us what the problem was. thanks

Thanks "unregistered" and Eddy, I had the directory figured out but I could not copy the *mqv file over as I had it named. I renamed the movie file as mov0001.mqv instead of "movietitle".mqv (which is how I have it files on the cd-rom).
So now I just copy the "movietitle".mqv to the ms, rename the file as "mov00001.mqv" (the file naming format that sony makes us use) and the movie files play beautifully.
great news. now that solves my mistery & can continue on with burning the MQVs to a 3" mini CD-R. :D
