I bricked my LD.
I messed with PowerDrive, but it was on a LD with the CF card installed (I hoped to change the Program memoery size) now it is (was.) stuck on the pa1mOne logo with the text. "CAN'T USE DISK" or something like that. What was screwed up and is recovery possible before I have to take the whole thing apart?

I had a similar experience. The cause was that CF card was damaged. Luckily that my CF card had a lifetime warranty, so I just needed to go to the reseller to get a replacement card. For recovery, I put back the original microdrive and started the PowerDrive process again. With the new CF card, I could still use PowerDrive with the previous register code.

After PowerDrive, I proceeded with NuRom. However, I could not use the same NuRom register code with the new card anymore and needed to ask Dmitry for a new register code. Dmitry was kind enough to provide me the new NuRom register code free of charge. With the new code, recovery was simple by reloading the save ROM configuration and restoring RAM backup with RescoBackup.

Good luck to your recovery of the LifeFlash.

The CF card worked fine before, I just felt too adventurous i guess.

Thanks

My first CF card also worked fine for a while, then suddenly I had this problem.

I could not remember exactly. I have a slight memory that it broke when I was doing a reset.
