Hi everyone,

I'll be absolutely honest, I just installed Red Hat 9 and I don't know where to start learning how to use it. I've been a windows person in the past but I wanted to try something new. Any ideas on how to get familiar with it? Also I tried using the gnome pilot wizard but I can't seem to get it to recognize my T-615. I don't know anyone who uses linux so I'm really in the dark.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!:D

I understand what it is like getting going with Linux. With RH9 you shouldn't have too much trouble. You should read the other threads in this forum as they have some good info.

Also, one thing I learned is that you may not have permissions to actually use the device if you are not root. You can add your normal user account to the 'uucp' group and this should get around the permissions issue. This may not be the best way, but it worked for me.

This page explains quite well the process you are trying to use: http://milnber.gotadsl.co.uk/clie/cliehowto.html

Also you can do a web search for 'clie Linux' and there are a number of pages that describe in detail the process.

Feel free to send me a PM with more specific issues. I finally got my NX to sync under RH9 (Palm OS 5 is/was a tad more complicated).
