Graffiti 2 Downloadable?

Is it possible to download or get Graffiti 2 for my NX60 running palm 5.0? In fact while I'm on the topic is it possible to upgrade to Palm 5.2?

Graffiti2 is basically Jot built into the OS. Download Jot.

It's better than 5.1.


Isn't it just OS5 with Jot loaded into it? I'm sure there are a couple other small things, maybe cosmetically or something or little fixes, but I was under the impression that new version just had Jot fused with the OS.

Ok fair enough you told me what it is, but can I donload it or upgrade to it? Or even to 5.1? :confused:

PalmOS v.5.0, Stage: Development, Build: 0

Sony would have to release a Flash update to make your NX60 OS5.2. They have released one OS upgrade, and they charged $70 for it and made you send your unit into them for them to perform it. I doubt they are going to make an update to give us current OS5 owners OS5.2. Instead, they will just release a new model with OS5.2 and tell us to buy it.

OS5.2 not only adds Graffiti2, but also extends the RAM limit from 16 meg up to 128meg.

OS 5.2.1 is also faster if the Zire 71 is any indication. It has the same processor type (same core but no DSP) running at the same speed as the TT, but is noticably faster.

So does this mean the OS 5.2 devices, when they come out, will have more than 128mb RAM? Sweet...very sweet.

Not necessarily. It gives them the ability to. Now we assume that handheld makers will try to take advantage of this. But knowing Sony's track record, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't for awhile.

That's a good point. Well, I guess I'm better off...if the next devices were THAT big an improvement, I might just have to buy one, and I can't really afford it. :D
