I accidently deleted some files for the clieremote, and have been restoring them. Can someone check how many different types of devices their clieremote can control? I have AMP, DVD, CD, and VCR.

DVD and CD should be the same, but you are missing the TV definitions....

I'm sorry, I looked again, and I have the TV, but I don't see a CD option.

I don't have a plain old CD player in my house but I'm pretty sure that the DVD controls will work on a CD player. Let me know if I'm talking out my arse though.....

It doesn't seem to work on my Pioneer CD player. Oh well. Maybe I can snag a copy of the new clieremote for the NZ, if it's any different.

Is there anyawy to delete device profiles once they've been setup? I enver figured out how to do it...

the easiest way to delete them is to select the device and then go into details. from there you have a delete button....
I don't think Sony is going to bother updatingi the definitions, they didn't do it for the NX, it's running the same definitions as my NR, 8 months later....

shame it's not a decent 'learning' remote....

Want learning, suffer with omni (though it's really not that bad, it doesn't do everything the RMC does). I've also tried pronto lite but it really has a crappy, much worse than omni. RMC is really easy to set up and use but it just doesn't learn.

I just saw the manual for the NZ and it looks like the basic apps are exactly the same. No surprise I guess. I do like the RMC, but I wish it had more devices. A cable box would be great!!!

lack of cable box definitions is the only flaw I see in RMC, it has a clean look, easy to set up, but you always need your cable remote handy while your watching TV.

rmc comes with support for vcd, tv, dvd - there is a specific yahoo group regarding rmcenhancer, a project for using the rmc for more devices. there are additional device definitions on that website.

Thanks ClieMarty. I actually belong to that group and completely forgot about it!! How stupid am I. I'm off to see what they have right now.

You're sort of right, you need omniremote pro, which supports palm OS4+. But if you own omniremote your code will work in the pro version, you just won't be able to use the pro features, unless of corse you're like me and the program somehow recognized that I had beta tested for them, which I didn't...
PS: My teacher always said I had too many run-on-sentences.
