Does anyone else think its odd

Does anyone else think its odd that Sony makes Palm powered Clies, and yet owns EverQuest and makes EverQuest a PocketPC game only? I am a fan of EQ (it has consumed much of my time... was a beta for EQOA) and i would like to get it for my clie... not only that but a sim city that works with Os5...

There is a lot of things Sony does that's odd. Sony includes that game on it's PC's. It came with my VAIO desktop and laptop PC's. I am not into games except for Bejeweled or Solitare.

The EQ game for PPC is nothing like the PC version. It's trash. That upcoming RPG that Zane R. is developing is a lot better.

No surprise, I don't know if you guys still remember, but a manager in sony had once said "Even Bill Gates ask us if we are crazy to use Palm OS on handhelds and Symbian OS on smartphones".

Sony is too big an organization, it's not easy to get every part of it to integrate seamlessly. You should actually be surprised that your CLIE can play MP3s considering that Sony also runs Sony Music, (In fact the first CLIE with Audio capability can only play ATRAC3).

Sony found out that by offering ATRAC3 only, it hurt them. The reason no one was buying it, so they relented somewhat and offered MP3. Now some of it's newest players are going back to MP3. I guess Sony wants to keep shooting itself in the foot by dictating what it feels the consumer should want...

Does Sony Variant (sp?) still head up that EverQuest deal? Or has it changed around? I never played Everquest, but a few years ago my friends would destroy their lives with it.
