I have watched the price of NX's very closely as I am after one. Price has been steadily falling on eBay. A new unit can be had for as little as $450. I suspect by March 1 they will be down to $400 or less. Good news for anyone like me waiting on them to become more affordable.

Am I a cheap jackass? or a smart ***? I think waiting a month and saving $200 is pretty darn smart! Sorry tp you who prolly walked into Best Buy and lopped down $600 + $40-$50 tax and maybe even the replacement plan for $100... $650 - $750 for what I can get 8 weeks later for $400? You tell me who the jackass is?

I think it's great that the NX70V can be gotten for less now. Whats the big deal? So we rushed out and paid an extra $200 for it? So what? I have some wonderful shots of my 2 year old daughter that I would have missed had I not bought when I did. I think the christmas movies alone justify the extra money. So be happy for the gentleman, that he is going to be joining a the few, the proud, the NX70Vers! He just had to wait til they were in his price range, which is a little cheaper than ours! (-;

I bought mine for 480 something at Dell, so I don't really care if the price goes down to 450. Also, you are talking about Ebay, which there is always a risk. If you could get it for 400 new on a retail store or online store then I guess you got a good deal. I have to say that if you are getting your NX now, you missed a lot of fun already at ClieSource. We've been through many things and I felt very excited every single day. Now, it's not that much fun because it's not a new product.
The NZ is going to be something different. I cannot justify paying 800 for a PDA. This is just too much. If I didn't have a Digital Camera, then maybe I woud buy it, but I have a 3MP CyberShot. Also, the NZ looks so big that everyone will now you have a digital camera on your hands. The NX doesn't look like a camera and people will not know you are taking a picture.

The NZ is basically a repackaged NX, that's it! I still have my 5 megapixel camera, that didn't change :)!

I don't undertsand buying late and missing out on all the fun. As long as you enjoy your Clie, and enjoy Cliesource, then aren't you having fun? You don't need to own a certain Clie to enjoy the website, do you? It's not like your Clie is ruined if you buy it a few months later. And the NZ won't be any different to some folks. They will probably think that you are missing out on all the fun by not buying one.
I agree with you about the price not being a big deal, but the rest of your statement I just don't get. BTW, I got my NX when it first came out and have been around this website even a little longer, and its just as much fun for me. I'm sorry it's not the same for you.

Buy it now, enjoy it now. Buy it later, enjoy it later. You can't win in the world of electronics.

I was only directing my remark to master_bater. I cannot justify spending $650 on this unit. I want one but I am waiting for the price to go down a bit. If the CF slot issue was cracked I would be more inclined. As far as eBay not being safe? Maybe if you buy a used unit from a newbie from Greenland but I have bought and sold tons of high end things on eBay with little problems.

I think what the comment about missing the fun was directed at is obviously feeling like you are a part of the discovery process. Before the database crash, there were many involved threads of people learning and helping eachother to discover the great things about their NX. I have to disagree however, I think that is still happening. Thus the fun is still in it. I will admit I don't scan Cliesource as thoroughly as I did when I was researching my nx, and when I first got it. But I still make a point to read atleast once a day. I don't think anyone could take the fun out of the NX no matter how long you wait to buy it.. :)

I agree with you, the fun is still there. But there is no point telling someone who wants to buy it cheaper that they missed out on all the fun. Why burst their bubble? Should they feel bad for buying it later?
