Amazing that we haven't seen a new CLIE yet

It's funny how many people anticipated an "any minute now" release. Wonder if Sony has rethought its CLIE line in light of the new Tungsten and Zire?

I was expecting an announcement a few days ago because the websites I was monitoring showed signs of a big announcement... turned out to be the blue and the white SJ33. :D

Pricedrops are one of the largest indicators and I don't think they can just pull the whole line when the competition releases their new products.

I'm new at this game but it seems to me that Sony try to push the envelope, in general, so that their machines are "better" than other Palm machines and PPCs. Also my observation is that the Clie's are not as "business" centric as the iPaqs. Given this line of thinking, and given that the NZ90 has not been as popular as say the original NR70/NX70, I think Sony need to make a technical leap. For buisness users WiFi, BT, HiRes+ and a spare MS slot for GSM/GPRS (i.e. 2 MS slots) would make the new Sony better than the iPaqs and other Palms and I think business people would pay say $499 for such a product.

I really don't think it will be long until we see an announcement from Sony...

I reckon we'll see some really, really good machines from Sony to make the new Palm Zire / Tungstens look like pooh.
