Please help me guys

I downloaded Uninstall Manager and Cleanup the other day coz my NX was getting full of crap.

Well, i deleted a few things and i think ive deleted summin i shudnt have coz now when i open MSImport it says 'Fatal Error, missing Library' and i have to reset :(

It works fine if i backup my data and do a hard reset, but when i restore my backup, it wont work again :(

Is there any way to get this to work again without losing all my programs and settings? Can anyone send me the file or something? (dont know which it is tho, sorry)

Please HELP

Thanks guys

Time to look for the Installation CD-ROM it came with your unit.

Always use the delete from the default launcher's pull down menu! I know some will argue with me, but using these other apps to remove crumbs can lead to more trouble.

Is there a system update patch for your unit? I know there's one for the USA models. Your's may only be partially installed. There is nothing that needs to be installed on the Clie for MS Import to run, especially if it runs after a hard reset, but before a restore.

It sounds like some corrupted db is being restored and killing it. You could try and delete the MS Import a68k file. The 3452MSLib and slot drivers are part of the USA system update patch for the memory stick. That's what I would try first, reinstall the system update patch before running MS Import. Your restore may onl be restoring part of the update. It's worth a shot.

But i havent put any system updates on it.

I have put the MSPro update on, because i was considering buying one. But i cant find that file on my PC anymore and for some reason the Clie-Link.com site isnt letting me to the updates section at the moment :(

The error is (exactly) :

Fatal Alert
SystemMgr.c, Line:5804,
SysLinkerStub():Failed to
load the shared library.

(Reset button)

I'll try to put the MSPro patch back on when the site is working again.

Anymore suggestions now you know the full error?

Thanks n2ifp for your help

Let me verify this, MS Import works okay right after a hard reset and before you restore anything?

I am not a programmer, so the error doesn't help much. I just looked at the USA Sony support site and there is a bunch of files for the MS Pro patch, some of which I had already mentioned! Do that first, reinstall the MS Pro patch! ! !

There is the MS and SCSI libraries, if one of those files are missing I am sure that will be your problem. It can't be any ROM files and it's the only thing that makes logical sense, that the whole suite of the MS Pro driver isn't there and it crashes, because it can't find the missing file. Don't not try and delete the MS Pro patch, reinstall it!

Please let us know if it resolves your issue :)

It ok now, i fixed it

I just deleted all those MS Pro files from my backup directory after a hard reset, and then restored my backup.

I couldnt get on to the sony support site, and besides im gonna get the CF driver instead of a MSPro so i dont need the update now anyway.

Thanks again for your help
