Be careful if you care about your e-mail address being displayed. The petition displayed my e-mail address, despite "Private" being selected.

Maybe one needs to choose "Public" to get privacy, if this note on the page is correct:

Just make sure you preview it to make sure your e-mail isn't displayed.

I think you put your e-mail in twice (Once at the top and again in the 'Optional' field). If you only put your e-mail in the top field and DON'T put your e-mail address into the second 'Optional' e-mail field, it won't display it.
