hi there, just wanted to check in and see who is actively working on developing applications in Flash for the NX70...I'm finding all sorts of wacky stuff, and hoped that some other people might have ideas.
My main issue: the player has all sorts of problems with complex graphics. I started with a 4 meg Illustrator file, knocked a lot of the complexity out, and even after stripping it down to a tiny file (66K once it's been imported into Flash and SWFed) it still crashes the NX all the time.
hmm.
Still working on it, will be able to report more later, but wanted to see who else might be working in this area. TIA.

I have only developed a few flash files for work. Nothing application wise just animation. Been working on a basic game for fun. I have used files on flash that were upto 500k with no problem.

Did you break apart all of the layered groups before exporting the swf? that might help.

I think the flash player sucks on the NX. I know the hardware can do better than that. I hope there's an updated flash player soon.....

do you know any good windows applications to create flash files ?
I know there are many, but I need a simple and preferably freeware one...

I have started working with flash on my NX60, so far I haven't run into any bugs like you have... though I am drawing my shapes and whatnot directly in flash instead of importing.

I have 2MB Flash files, they run without issues. I just wish the player supported mp3 playback -- I need sound!

I don't know anything about programming in flash but I do have a lot of flash apps on my NX. I haven't had any fatal errors but I do notice the flash player on the NX having problems running quite a few flash apps. And the mp3 sound thing is annoying too. flash enabled (http://www.flashenabled.com) is a good site about flash on pocketpc/palm

There are many good flash apps on windows. Macromedia has Fireworks (expensive). There is CoffeeCup Software Firestarter. A simple google search should net about 25.
