Perhaps you all know this, but I just discovered it so I figured I would share it.

You can do a grafitti swipe "/" without actually having the grafitti area open. If you start it on the status bar and swipe diagonally up off the status bar the grafitti swipe dialog box comes up. (you know that one with copy and paste in most apps or beam and whatnot in others.)

Yea, I just accidently ran across it. I find it much more convenient than having to open the grafitti and then do the swipe. Makes using those Hires+ apps a little nicer.

Please enlighten a newbie - a 2002 Clie was my first-ever Palm OS PDA.

Why even bother with the command line? What can you only do with command?

It makes cutting and pasting much easier. A lot of apps don't even have a cut or paste option in the menus, so it's the only way to do it. Plus, if there are items in the menus that you access frequently, it makes it much quicker to do the command stroke, than having to naviagate the menus. Think of the command stroke just like the Alt key in Windows.

I think you have to have text highlighted to get the copy or cut icons. Then, if somethings in the clipboard, you will also get a paste icon.

I just wish the command swipe could be used on the NX's built in keyboard as a key combo.

ctrl+c and ctrl+v work on the NR's; but of course, the swipe is a lot easier

Using this I tried to copy an appointment from one day to another. The copy was successful but the appointment was inserted at the wrong time - did I get it wrong or does the Clié only copy the text and not the appointment (and if so, is there a way to copy the appointment with details)?

I just found, a couple days ago that taking your stylus and swiping from the letter A on the VG going right and from the # 1 on the VG going left will scroll through tabs on ZLauncher.

[space] does the same as A -> 1. And [backspace] does it like 1 -> A. With all ways: Grafitti, Decuma and the keyboard.
