Can anybody help me?!?!?! I have been searching the site for and hour yesterday a half an hour today to how to get a different virtual graffiti skin on to my NX70V. The only thing I really come across is skin manager and photo skin. I downloaded skin manager and installed it. The I put a VG skin on my NX through hotsync and then went to skin manager to find that nothing was their although I could find it on my NX. So that didn't work! Then I downloaded photo skin, unzipped it, and when I tried to install it a window popped up saying that the file does not exist. So then I rename it to a shorter name but still doesn't work. Can anybody help to get it to work or give me a link or something to some other application that will work? THANX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please forgive and ignore the rudeness of my fellow clie members...although one--I noticed was not a member. Believe me, most of us here at ClieSource are quite nice, polite, helpful and understanding of new users. It's only a very small percentage that are rude and don't remember when they had to ask questions. (albeit it might have been a long long long time ago for some of them)

It's always a good idea to search this forum before asking.

Good luck

He mentioned he did a search. Rudeness, rudeness, rudeness. One day you guys will be asking questions about how to change settings in Palm OS ver. 10. If you live that long ...

Since no one has answered your question yet, here you go. With the NX, you have a few ways you can add new skins. But make sure that the skins you found are designed for the NX. Many were designed for the NR; some of these work on the NX, but a lot don't.

As for how to get it on, Photoskin is the easiest method, but there's still some bugs in this app on the NX. Sometimes the skins will be available, but won't show up in your list. You can drag your stylus down below the bottom entry displaying in the list, and sometimes they'll show up then. If not, the one you chose may not be supported on the NX.

Or, you can just Hotsync a skin on to the NX, do a soft reset, and it will show up after the reset. Changing the skin after you do this is a bit tricky, so only go this route if you think you'll want to stick with the skin for awhile.

Good luck!!

ouch.. I'm just a junior member, and getting use to this forum,
I better be well inform before asking any question or else.
Is that the impression that new comers are getting from this forum or it just the opinion of one. I think is just the opinio of one.
Senior members have been here for a long time and they know where to go to get answers if they need too.
Can someone be place on ignored list on this forum?

You can igonore registered users, but unfortanly unregistereds are unignorable. I'm suprised unregistered posting still hasn't been banned. Must be they are waiting until everyone leaves here before they do so. :(

Well... only moderators can do that.

Frankly, I don't see why more people didn't give him the benefit of the doubt. If you feel it's something that's obvious or has been covered over and over, just ignore it. What does telling him to do a search accomplish, especially when he started off by saying he had already searched for an hour and a half, so it's not like doing a search before asking a question never occurred to him. And who cares how he did his search? Maybe he didn't know about the search box on the front page. Just because something is obvious to you doesn't mean it's obvious to everyone!! I think the reactions in this thread have been extremely rude and uncalled for. So, please in the future, if it bothers you that bad, either completely ignore it or try to be a little more helpful.

Well... only moderators can do that.Actually, you're confusing two things. Anyone can place anyone else on the ignore list. If there's someone you don't like and you don't want to see their posts, click on the Profile button that is at the bottom of every post, and it will take you to their profile. At the bottom of that on the right, there's an option to ignore that user.

I think what you were referring to is banning, which is when a poster loses their posting privileges for the site, and that can only be done by the site owner.
