Actually, there was a thread on this just a little while ago, the average user was about 25 and the youngest was 12(I think). I'm 15, and it's great having an nx. Cheers

I started that thread.
The youngest was 11, and that was me.

that's my age. I am a EDP professional and the NX70 is by far the coolest PDA I ever owned (started with the first PALM, upgraded to some Pocket PC's and finally landed here:=)

well, I am pretty close to the youngest owner, 16! :D . I'm the only one in the school with a color PDA. Infact, my PDA is better than the school's Computer technician computer.

I stayed with B&W devices while in high school, it was much safer from being stolen or taken away.

Hahaha. B+W devices.. Me too. We had punch card classes in HS when I was younger. "It will be the wave of the future". as you can see, they were correct! ;)

20... I'm surprised you guys take notes on them. I don't think I ever took notes in highschool; plus with the camera, psh I'd be too busy taking pictures of girls =)

I'm not the youngest (22), but I remember first using a PDA in fifth grade. I used the special PDA cartridge that came out way back when for the Game Boy to take assignments down. (Yes, it was hard to type stuff.) That ended when someone tattled on me when they saw the cartridge currently in the GB was a game during a particularly boring class.
Even today in college, most students rely on the old pen and paper for notes. I rarely see anyone take out a notebook for notes, let alone a PDA and a keyboard.

I can't find a good way to type with the nx and then draw little things (charts or whatever). I also notice that if I just write on my palm with the stylus it's a lot sloppier than on paper, so I have to type with my palm, but then I'm slow, plus I need a new page too often...
It might work better for me if my wireless keyboard that came bundled with my nx-70 was supported (picked it up in dec and they still havn't made a driver for it....) What a shame....
I have a laptop too, and I type WAY faster than i can write, but that clicking sound is just too inconsiderate for other I think.

Close to the oldest...51...and a woman as well. Wonder why there are not many women on Cliesource. A few memorable ones like yellow rose, though...
Well, I'm 17... (was 16 2 weeks back :D) and have been using PDA's since I was 13...

It's cool to see all age groups using the NX. I love mine. It goes everywhere I do. It is both a productivity tool as well as my boredom alleviator. I am 29 and in grad school. It's an amazingly useful device.

hey "dphar", we're out here! ...48, female, IT professional (Director), been a 'gadget queen' since I flew helicopters in the Army way back in the 70's, love to stop the guys (mostly the non-geek guys) in their tracks with my NX70...:D:cool: ...can't impress too many geek-guys with it, though... ;)

Sorry, I am older and a man. There are more women on ClieSource than you may realize. Some sort of hide it and some are even older than you or I :)!
The reason I know is by the number of personal emails that I have received for private assistance.

Its just that the trendline of the populus has more males in computer/engineering enviornments. I go to college and the ratio of men to women is like 20:1, which makes finding dates hard. :D

The majority of women are probably not going to get impassioned if their favorite Launcher is portrayed in a negative fashion.

Yeah, I take notes on mine all the time. I will do anything from graphing quadratic functions and plugging in matrices in math class, to reading shakespeare in english class(THAT blew my teacher away), recording videos in physics class, using the spanish dictionary in french class(jk, spanish class), taking pictures of my paintings(or other stuff ;-) in art class, scheduling extra-curricular stuff in any class, playing sputnik mp3s in history class, just taking notes... well, you get the idea. I might die without my nx. All this is only after one month of being able to use it in school because a certain person, who will probably respond in this thread, played games on his in schopol last year:mad:

I'm a 40-year-old rocket scientist. There are a few of us here at work that use PDAs (a couple of NXs, an NR, a Z-71, a few Handsprings, some Palm guys in another dept.). Even amongst this geeky profession, we are recognized as somehow geekier.
It all started for me when my old man made me learn how to use a slide rule in 7th grade before he would let me have a calculator. Wow, there's a good idea...I need to make a Palm app that instructs folks how to use slide rules!

Just gotta admit, a PDA will never replace Pen & Paper. I use to PDA to organise my time, copy homework question and take notes when I forget my books for whatever reason.

I turned 20 on the 18th
The NX70 is my first ever PDA, and I can say its been an awesome experience. I first got it 1. it was so cool, 2. i got a sony employee discount, 3. for my digital photography career, 4. for school.
It has impressed me in every sense:)
Anyways...!

I don't have that issue now. . . lol! :) I expect most people wish I'd shut up!:D

I never thought I'd be the old geezer on here! And how can you kids afford these NX toys when paper routes pay about the same as when I had one? Oh well, I guess the hidden economy is bigger than i realized.
I mainly use my nx70 for the address book and showing off pix to family/friends. I've become an information addict and am constantly putting peoples names/addresses in there. I really like this PDA, although I NEVER use the keyboard (too slow).
My first and favorite palm is the Handspring Prism. It's such a shame Handspring didn't slim it down and make it 320x320. They totally blew their entire fan club base because of their fear of Sony. They were the "Apple" of PDA land and the Prism was so cool.
